FAQs

Common Questions About Safe TILAT Use

Where should I start if I’m new to TILAT?

Start with the Welcome Video, then review the Safety Video before exploring the Learning Library. These resources are designed to help you use your device safely and confidently.

How often should I use my TILAT device?

For most people, a few minutes per area is a good place to begin. Start gently, use light pressure, and pay attention to how your body responds. You may use the device regularly as part of your self-care routine, but comfort should always guide you.

How long should I use it on one area?

Start with 1–2 minutes on a small area and 3–5 minutes on a larger muscle group. More time is not always better. The goal is comfortable stimulation, not forcing the tissue.

How much pressure should I use?

Use light to moderate pressure. Let the vibration do the work. Pressing harder does not necessarily make the treatment more effective and may cause irritation.

Why does the green light turn to red when I press the device on my skin?

If the light changes from green to red when you press the device into your skin, you are likely using too much force. Pressing too hard can interfere with the device’s normal function and may cause it to stop working properly during use. It is not necessary to push deeply into the body. Use light to moderate pressure and let the vibration do the work.

What setting should I start with?

Begin with the lowest comfortable setting. Once you understand how your body responds, you can gradually explore higher settings when appropriate.

Can I use the device every day?

Many people can use vibration therapy daily, especially with light pressure and short sessions. If an area feels sore, irritated, inflamed, or sensitive, give it more time before using the device again.

Where should I avoid using the device?

Avoid using the device directly over open wounds, irritated skin, areas of numbness, swollen or inflamed tissue, recent injuries, varicose veins, blood clots, or areas that cause sharp pain. Do not use it over the front of the neck, throat, or directly over the spine with heavy pressure.

Can I use TILAT around my neck?

Use caution around the front of the neck. If using the device in this area, stay gentle and focus on the sides and back of the neck or upper shoulders. Avoid the front of the neck and throat area.

Can I use the device around joints?

Yes. TILAT can be used around joints and may feel especially helpful there when applied gently. Use light pressure, move slowly, and stay comfortable. Avoid pressing hard directly into bony areas, and stop or reposition the device if you feel sharp pain, irritation, numbness, tingling, or discomfort.

What should I do if it feels uncomfortable?

Stop or reposition the device. TILAT should feel comfortable and helpful, not painful. Sharp pain, numbness, tingling, burning, increased irritation, or unusual symptoms are signs to stop and reassess.

How do I choose the right attachment?

Choose the attachment that feels most comfortable for the area you are treating. Broader or softer contact points are often better for sensitive areas, while more focused contact may be useful for specific tight spots.

Should I use it before or after exercise?

You can use it before activity to help warm up the body and after activity to support recovery. Before exercise, keep it brief and stimulating. After exercise, use it more slowly and gently.

Can I use it if I have a medical condition?

If you have a medical condition, recent injury, surgery, circulation problems, nerve symptoms, diabetes-related numbness, a pacemaker, or are unsure whether vibration is appropriate for you, consult your healthcare provider before use.

Is this a substitute for medical care?

No. TILAT is a self-care and recovery tool. It is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent medical conditions. If you have persistent pain, worsening symptoms, or a serious injury, seek professional medical advice.
