Welcome to the TILAT Recovery Blog: Learn, Recover, and Move Better
Welcome to the TILAT Recovery Blog — a new educational resource created to help you get more comfortable, confident, and informed as you use your TILAT device.
Whether you are brand new to TILAT or already using your device as part of your wellness routine, this blog is here to support you with practical guidance, safety tips, product education, recovery ideas, and simple movement-based insights.
The goal is simple: to help you use your device wisely, safely, and effectively as part of a larger wellness lifestyle.
Why This Blog Was Created
Many people purchase a massage or vibration device, but are not always sure where to begin.
Common questions include:
How often should I use it?
Where should I start?
How much pressure should I apply?
Can I use it on my neck, back, feet, or shoulders?
What should I avoid?
How do I know if I am doing too much?
The TILAT Recovery Blog was created to answer questions like these in a clear, simple, and supportive way.
Rather than leaving you to guess, this blog will provide ongoing education to help you better understand safe device use, general recovery principles, and how massage and vibration tools can fit into your everyday wellness habits.

A Companion to the TILAT Learning Center
The TILAT Learning Center includes videos, guides, demonstrations, FAQs, and support resources to help device owners get started.

What Makes TILAT Different?
TILAT devices are designed to support relaxation, recovery, and everyday wellness. The purpose of this blog is not only to discuss the product but also to help users become more informed about their own bodies.
A device is only as useful as the way it is used.
That is why education matters.
Small choices — where you place the device, how much pressure you use, how long you stay in one area, and how carefully you listen to your body — can make a big difference in your experience.
The TILAT Recovery Blog will help you develop a smarter, calmer, and safer approach to using your device.
Guidance from Dr. David Allan, DC
The educational materials in this blog and related videos feature Dr. David Allan, DC, a chiropractor, movement educator, massage therapy instructor, and wellness teacher with decades of experience helping people better understand posture, movement, recovery, and self-care.
Throughout his career, Dr. Allan has taught nationally and internationally in a variety of hands-on therapeutic disciplines, including Shiatsu, Reflexology, Structural Integration, and other bodywork and movement-based approaches. His extensive teaching experience has given him a unique perspective on how people learn to care for their bodies and how therapeutic techniques have evolved over time.
Having worked in the wellness and bodywork fields for decades, Dr. Allan has also witnessed firsthand the evolution of massage device technology—from early percussive and vibrational massage tools to the more advanced recovery and wellness devices available today. This long-term perspective allows him to bridge traditional hands-on therapy principles with modern self-care technologies, helping users understand not only how to use a device but why certain approaches may be more effective, comfortable, and appropriate than others.
Dr. Allan’s approach emphasizes body awareness, safe movement, practical education, and the importance of learning how to work with the body rather than forcing it.
This blog will reflect that same philosophy.
The goal is not to overwhelm you with technical language. The goal is to give you clear, useful guidance that helps you feel more confident using your TILAT device as part of a healthy lifestyle.
Start Simple. Stay Comfortable. Listen to Your Body.
One of the most important principles we will return to often is this:
More is not always better.
When using any massage, vibration, or relaxation device, it is best to begin gently. Start with shorter sessions, lighter pressure, and areas that feel comfortable. Pay attention to how your body responds during and after use.
You should never push through sharp pain, numbness, tingling, dizziness, unusual discomfort, swelling, skin irritation, or excessive heat.
Your body gives feedback. Learning to listen to that feedback is part of safe and intelligent self-care.

A Smarter Way to Support Recovery
Recovery is not just about one device, one technique, or one quick fix.
Recovery is a process.
It includes rest, movement, hydration, posture awareness, breathing, sleep, daily habits, and knowing when to seek professional care.
Your TILAT device can be a helpful part of that process, especially when used thoughtfully and consistently. This blog is here to help you make that process safer, simpler, and more effective.
